What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist position at Recovery Mobile Clinic?
As a Phlebotomist at the Recovery Mobile Clinic you will be working for a new type of clinic operating in Rvs and mobile SUV clinics. We are a 501C3 nonprofit clinic and we travel to community partners that focus on patients suffering from homelessness, mental health and substance use disorders. In addition to front office and back office responsibilities such as working with our EMR, Clinic Tracker, and assisting with data input, insurance verification and patient data, you will also assist in back clinic duties such as phlebotomy. We will teach you skills such as IM injections, vaccine injections, urine collections and more. You will support Nurse Practitioners and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The Recovery Mobile Clinic has build its success on reliability. So consistency and reliability is extremely important.
There are also some unique duties to Mobile Clinics such as obtaining a cheuffers license and learning to drive a RV! We also will need you to help with stocking, and prepping units for every clinic. The most important aspect of this job is how you treat the patients. You need to be able to treat our clients with respect adn kindness. We hire for attitude and train for skill.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Update and file medical records and insurance reports
- Check with patients and type up patients charts
- Assist during medical examinations
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
Skills

- Reliabilty
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- Degree in medical assistance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
