Step into a role where your creativity becomes a powerful tool for healing! As the Rehabilitation Specialist III, Expressive Arts, you’ll use the transformative power of expressive arts to guide individuals with mental and emotional disabilities through their treatment journey.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced candidate to lead music groups for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach various musical instruments and foster engagement through music. Additionally, this role will oversee and participate in hospital-wide musical activities, including a chorus, plays, and other creative performances.
Your expertise will help individuals express their thoughts, feelings, and ideas in a safe and supportive environment. You'll conduct assessments, provide valuable feedback to the treatment team, and ensure all documentation aligns with facility and accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities
Facilitates Expressive Arts TherapyDevelops and facilitates individual and group sessions using expressive arts as a therapeutic modality to support healing and personal growth.
Accurate and Timely DocumentationEnsures timely, complete, and accurate documentation of services provided, consistent with professional standards and facility procedures.
Collaborative TreatmentWorks collaboratively with the multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure holistic care for individuals served.
Effective Time ManagementManages time effectively, ensuring the completion of assigned support services and department tasks in a timely manner.
Compliant with StandardsAdheres to departmental requirements and professional standards in all aspects of service delivery and documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in expressive arts from an accredited college or university.
- Preferred: Master’s degree.
Experience:
- Preferred: Two (2) years’ experience utilizing expressive arts/music as a therapeutic modality.
- Ability to teach a range of musical instruments.
