Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Help Desk Technician with 1-3 years of experience to provide frontline IT support for our security integration systems. The ideal candidate has basic networking knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills, and excellent communication abilities to assist clients and internal teams with technical issues related to access control, video surveillance, and other security technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for technical support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to security hardware, software, and basic networking.
- Assist with network connectivity issues, IP configurations, and system integrations.
- Document issues, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps in the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex technical problems to Tier 2 or engineering teams as needed.
- Provide remote assistance and occasional on-site support to enterprise clients.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless deployment and maintenance of security systems.
- Educate end users on best practices for system usage and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in an IT help desk or technical support role.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, VLANs, firewalls, and troubleshooting connectivity issues).
- Experience supporting Windows-based systems and common IT infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and customer-focused approach.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with security integration systems (access control, CCTV, video management software, etc.).
- Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory and network security principles.
- IT certifications (CompTIA Network , Security , or similar) are a plus.
