A distinguished law firm specializing in insurance defense is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their defense litigation team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in insurance defense litigation who thrives in a dynamic legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Assist attorneys in preparing and drafting legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and motions. Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
- Document Preparation: Prepare and file legal documents, initiate and monitor record orders, and draft subpoenas and depositions.
- Trial Preparation: Assist in preparing draft jury charges, witness lists, and exhibit lists. Attend pre-trial and trials, providing support with voir dire and exhibits.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and partners.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on insurance defense litigation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in legal research tools, litigation support software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management abilities, and the capacity to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
