What You Will Do
- Maintain availability of cloud & physical Linux servers that power mission-critical platforms in air-gapped production environments
- Design, deploy, and operate infrastructure supporting specialized customer & product requirements via modern orchestration & monitoring platforms
- Collaborate closely with product teams on requirements & SLOs for deploying software into secure environments
- Identify, troubleshoot, and solve complex network & systems issues
- Create scripts to automate routine operational tasks
- Serve as the environment expert, helping partner teams build & configure their software to operate reliably
- Join the "Forward Deployed Infrastructure Engineering" team, a global group of approximately 70 engineers ensuring seamless operations and fleet support across all environments from on-premises to cloud
Ideal Candidate Background
- 5 years of experience with Linux system administration (RHEL or equivalent preferred)
- Experience with Linux system/admin across fleets of servers using configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible)
- Experience with containerization and managing containerized applications in a Kubernetes environment
- Experience with cloud-based hosting platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or hardware-based environments
- Comfort managing large-scale production systems with configuration management, load balancing, monitoring & alerting infrastructure, and container orchestration
- Familiarity with monitoring systems using tools like Prometheus and writing health checks
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex systems issues using stack traces and observability tools
- Active security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Experience working in air-gapped/confidential environments
Preferred Qualifications
- DOD 8570 IAT Level II or greater certifications (CISSP, Sec )
- Unix/Linux Computing Environment certifications (Linux , RHCE)
- Proficiency with scripting in Python or Go
- Experience supporting mission-critical applications
- Desire to take on system administration responsibilities alongside deployment tasks
