Accounting Intern
CLASSIFICATION: Part-time, Flexible Schedule, Minimum of 15 Hours Per Week
COMPENSATION: $16-18 Per hour depending on experience

JOB DESCRIPTION: Redstone Residential is growing quickly and looking to grow the team! This internship will provide hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting and finance, offering students the chance to apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting. You will work alongside experienced accountants and financial professionals, gaining valuable insights into real-world accounting practices, financial reporting, and business operations.
Our goal is to give this team member meaningful, team-oriented work to help create and cultivate an accounting skill set and broader financial prowess. This position assists in preparing financial information for a set of properties under the direction of the Controller. The ideal candidate will help in the preparation of smooth, reliable, and effective financial records that are both timely and accurate. The candidate will gain experience with payables, receivables, and working with other teams to finalize financial transactions.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Maintain the accuracy of financial data.
● Process and review invoices and payments.
● Managing assigned projects.
● Process data within Excel and upload it into the accounting system.
● Assist the accounting team with monthly financial close.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Basic knowledge of GAAP
- Successful completion of related coursework
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Basic computer skills: typing and writing ability for correspondence, memos, etc.
Salary : $16 - $18
