Responsibilities
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies. Oversee the financial closing processes and ensure accuracy in all financial documents.
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management. Promote professional development and build a collaborative work environment.
- Oversee the accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Manage inventory accounting processes, including valuation, reconciliation, and cost analysis.
- Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain the integrity of financial data. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Review, evaluate, and implement accounting systems, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and ensure accurate reporting.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for annual audits and manage tax filings. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Optimize financial processes and systems, leveraging NetSuite for efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support business growth. Participate in strategic planning initiatives, mergers, and acquisitions.
