Global consumer products company is seeking a Financial Controller at their Los Angeles headquarters. The role involves overseeing the full range of accounting and finance operations, managing a team, ensuring financial stability, and driving strategic growth through detailed financial analysis.
Pay: $175K-$220K 20%-25% Bonus
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies. Oversee financial closings and maintain accurate financial records.
- Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and manage the accounting team, handling hiring, training, and performance assessments.
- Accounting Operations: Oversee accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Inventory Accounting: Manage inventory-related processes, including valuation, reconciliation, and cost analysis.
- Internal Controls: Implement strong internal controls to protect company assets and ensure data accuracy.
- System & Process Optimization: Improve accounting systems and processes, with a focus on using NetSuite for enhanced efficiency.
- Tax & Audit Coordination: Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Strategic Insights: Provide financial recommendations to senior management to support business decisions and growth.
Qualifications:
- CPA Required
- 12 years of experience in accounting/finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Inventory accounting experience is essential, preferably in consumer products industry.
- Strong knowledge of NetSuite and Microsoft Excel.
- Proven leadership in managing financial operations, audits, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Salary : $175,000 - $220,000
