Our 25 year successful track record is built upon three distinct investment strategies: (i) targeted value add (buy, reposition/lease up and exit), (ii) core plus (properties leased long-term to high credit tenants characterized by a significant portion of the return derived from operating cash flow) and (iii) opportunistic, ground-up development projects that include entitling a site, building construction and economic stabilization through proactive leasing. Properties are held in various partnership structures that include closed-end funds, an open-end perpetual fund, syndications, institutional separate accounts, and joint ventures.

The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and play an active role in the financial close process, preparation of month-end/quarter-end and journal entries.
Responsibilities
• Actively participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process to ensure accurate and timely completion of expenses, accrual, and prepayments accounts
▪ Close monthly GAAP and tax basis accounting for assigned commercial real estate and
management/fund entities
▪ Ensure monthly books are reconciled and closed on an accurate and timely basis
▪ Ensure monthly operating activity is in line with budget, investigate and understand significant variances
▪ Work with Controller and/or Assistant Controller to prepare annual financial statements which will be audited by external auditors
▪ Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations
▪ Assist in the interim, quarters and year-end audit or review process, which will include providing requisite PBCs to external auditors
▪ Maintain and ensure internal controls are operating effectively
▪ Calculates and records appropriate depreciation and amortization of fixed assets, tenant improvements, and leasing commissions
▪ Assist in the review of tax workpapers and K-1s prior to issuance.
▪ Assist in the quarterly distribution process.
▪ Assist the Controller or Assistant Controller in the preparation of internal and external financial reporting.
▪ Provide support and assistance to the Treasury and Accounts Payable group(s) on an occasional basis.
Qualifications
• 3 years of experience in accounting operations
• BA in Accounting/Finance required, CPA preferred
• Excel skills required
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills are required
• Proven success working well under pressure and highly organized
• Ability to work in an environment with continued process improvement and change
