Recreation Foreman

The Foreman will oversee day-to-day field activities and manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain open communication with superintendents and team members. The Foreman will also ensure compliance with safety regulations, manage inventory, prevent waste, conduct pre-job planning, and verify the accuracy of the crew's weekly timecards. Additionally, the Foreman will foster a cooperative and productive work environment.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, organize, direct, and control construction projects according to specifications, timelines, & budgets.
Oversee jobsite manpower, production, and performance to ensure efficient operations.
Conduct quality control inspections to ensure projects are per plans/specifications, delivering the highest level of quality to clients.
Manage and maintain accurate inventory of materials and equipment on the jobsite.
Implement waste prevention strategies to minimize material loss and optimize resource utilization.
Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damage and reduce waste.
Conduct thorough pre-job planning to identify all required materials and equipment for upcoming projects.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Review project plans and specifications to anticipate material needs and avoid delays.
Verify and ensure the accuracy of the crew's weekly timecards before submission.
Address any discrepancies or issues related to timekeeping promptly and professionally.
Maintain open and consistent communication with superintendents and other project leaders.
Provide daily morning and end-of-day reports to superintendents or designated supervisors.
Collaborate with multiple leaders on overlapping projects, to ensure a harmonious work environment.
Ensure the safety of yourself, your crew, and others on the jobsite, by adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
Promote a culture of safety and compliance with Hawaii Occupational Safety and Health (HIOSH) standards.
Foster a cooperative and positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and collaboration among crew members.
Resolve conflicts and address issues promptly to maintain productivity and morale.
Maintain ethical use of company credit cards and submit receipts weekly.
Ensure all project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and reports, are accurate and up to date.
Essential Job Qualifications
Proven experience in construction management or a similar role.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations, including HIOSH requirements.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Experience in inventory management, waste prevention, pre-job planning, and timekeeping accuracy.
