Job Title: Assistant Shift Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing outstanding, friendly, and informative guest service while maintaining safety throughout the property as directed. Works to ensure maximum Guest safety at all times while periodically patrolling assigned areas.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting the Company Service Standards at all times
Adhere to all company service and operating standards and ensures direct reports adhere to all company policies
Assist Supervisor in the day to day activities; provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraise performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; and addresses complaints and resolving issues
Maintain a professional departmental, company and community
Answers Guest questions in a manner that reflects an understanding of the department and property in general
Protect the company’s assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues
Observe and report unusual or suspicious behavior
Escalate emergency situations to Assistant director and Director as needed
Assist the Security Supervisor and or Manager in ensuring all shift administration is completed correctly and on time, including incident reports, logs, statistics, and other documentation
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to read and speak English and communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form
Understand and comply with all company, departmental and Gaming Control Board rules and regulations, policies, and procedures
Ability to multitask
Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift to include weekends and holidays
Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationship with Team Members and Guests
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be able to obtain required work cards
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Complete property academy as assigned
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods of time
Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, ability to see color and may contain secondhand smoke
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policy
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests
Ability to see color
