- Swing Shift: Alternates weekly (7 AM - 3 PM / 3 PM - 11 PM)
- Third Shift: 11 PM - 7 AM
- 💵 Sign-On Bonus: Up to $5,000
- 📦 Relocation Assistance: Partial
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Tooling Technician III to join our client's team in Chatham, NY. In this role, you’ll be responsible for mold maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth operation of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on molds and tooling components.
- Operate and maintain machining tools such as milling machines, lathes, precision grinders, and polishers.
- Use metrology equipment to ensure precise measurements and document results.
- Interpret mold prints, 3D renderings, and schematics.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems (cylinders, motors, valve gates, and hot runner systems).
- Collaborate with production, processing, and maintenance teams to optimize mold performance.
- Assist in developing and documenting mold setup and assembly procedures.
Qualifications
✔ 2 years of experience in mold maintenance or a machine shop environment.
✔ Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
✔ Experience with plastic injection molding.
✔ Basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
✔ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
✔ Familiarity with Windows-based PC programs.
✔ MIG or TIG welding experience is a plus.
