About the Job:
As a Farm Management Professional - Antibody Production, you will be responsible for overseeing the health and welfare of animals at our 40-acre antibody production facility. This role ensures that all animal studies are conducted with the goal of delivering high-quality products and services to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight of animal care and use program to ensure compliance with animal welfare standards and applicable regulations.
- Management of program of veterinary care, including provision of veterinary oversight for all clinical treatments and programs.
- Institutional membership, acting as a voting member on the IACUC.
- Support for CAPA program, assisting in preparation of investigation reports.
- Staff training, providing instruction on routine clinical procedures.
- Clinical treatments, prescribing and directing as needed.
- Production and husbandry oversight, supervising personnel to ensure smooth operation of the farm.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinarian Medicine Doctor (VMD) degree required.
- Pennsylvania veterinary license required.
- Minimum 5 years in a veterinary practice, with at least 5 years of experience working with laboratory animals.
- Farm animal husbandry experience is a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows-based computer systems.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with cGMP quality systems and manufacturing operations.
