What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scientist/Senior Scientist, Cell Biology & Assay Development position at Rectify Pharma?
Job Description
Job Description
Salary :
Rectify Pharmaceuticals is a $100M Series A biotechnology company advancing Positive Functional Modulators (PFMs), a novel class of oral, small molecules that restore and enhance membrane protein function to address the underlying cause of serious diseases. Rectifys PFMs have the potential to modulate the activity of wild-type and mutated membrane proteins, a historically difficult challenge for small molecule approaches. The Companys breakthrough product platform enables efficient and rapid discovery of first- and best-in-class small molecule therapies with the potential to address membrane protein dysfunction for treatment of rare and common diseases, including liver, cardio-renal-metabolic, and neurodegenerative diseases.
We are looking for a talented and motivated scientist with assay development and cell biology experience to join our passionate and collaborative team to help drive our internal drug discovery programs. In this lab-based position you will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of cell-based and biochemical assays to generate decision making data in support of our PFM drug discovery pipeline and platform. Your work will directly influence the direction and success of our research portfolio. You will be deeply involved in a diverse range of technical projects including the development of fit-for-purpose in vitro assays for screening of small molecules, proof of mechanism studies, and in vitro translational model development. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, driven, innovative and talented biologist familiar with the development, optimization, validation, and implementation of in vitro assays in a drug discovery setting. You should be team-oriented, technically adept, and excited to pick up new techniques and discover new biology.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the Rectify Research Team. As one of the early employees in a rapidly growing company, you will have ample opportunity for development and growth and will be a key contributor to shaping the Companys future.
