Job Description: As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic at Recycled Polymer Solutions, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of industrial machinery and systems. Your role will be vital in keeping operations running smoothly and minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-motivated individual with the ability to take ownership of tasks and step into leadership opportunities when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform routine and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment, including conveyors, motors, pumps, shredders, augers, extruders, and other mechanical systems.
· Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues efficiently and accurately.
· Perform wiring of 3-phase equipment, including heaters, SSRs (Solid State Relays), hydraulic pumps, and associated units.
· Work with large-scale industrial equipment, including gearboxes, extrusion machines, shredders, material augers, loaders, and conveyors, ensuring optimal functionality.
· Inspect equipment and machinery regularly to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.
· Replace or repair defective parts, components, and machinery to maintain system performance and reduce downtime.
· Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize equipment downtime and ensure continuity of operations.
· Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, operational procedures, and regulatory standards.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, efficiency, and reliability.
· Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and provide effective troubleshooting and resolution.
· Proactively identify areas for improvement and offer recommendations for enhanced maintenance processes.
· Over time, grow into a leadership role, assisting the maintenance manager with team coordination and operations optimization.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.
· Proven experience (X years) as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
· In-depth knowledge of industrial machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical systems.
· Hands-on experience with wiring 3-phase equipment, including heaters, SSRs, hydraulic pumps, and larger industrial units.
· Expertise in servicing and troubleshooting larger industrial equipment such as gearboxes, extrusion machines, shredders, material augers, loaders, and conveyors.
· Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
· Competence in using diagnostic tools and hand/power tools safely and effectively.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take initiative without direct supervision.
· Excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, and a commitment to quality and safety.
· Ability to lead by example and support the maintenance manager in driving operational improvements.
· Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
Preferred Skills:
· Welding, fabrication, and machining experience.
· Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
· Industrial 3-phase 480 power experience.

Pay: $18.03 - $25.00 per hour
