What are the responsibilities and job description for the Steel Parts Fabricator position at Recycling Equipment Manufacturing?
REM®has an opening for a Parts Fabricator to join our production team in the steel parts fabrication department.
The job of the department is to provide steel parts to the welding department for the purpose of building the equipment we manufacture. Parts are produced using a computerized Plasma Cutting Table, Drills, Lathes, Punches, Brakes, Sheers, and Saws.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Produces parts in the machine shop using drills, lathes, etc.
- Bends parts per the drawings using the press brake.
- Produce parts according to drawings using the saw, drill press, sheer, etc.
- Ensures quality of parts produced in a timely manner.
- Participates in the development, and continuous improvement, of best practice processes and procedures in the department.
- Participates in Continuous Improvement of the department.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Mechanically inclined
- Forklift Certified (preferred but not required)
- Physically capable of regularly lifting 40 lbs. at a time
- Reliable and hardworking
- Teachable attitude
- Work well in a team environment
