Red Cedar is looking for a Land Development Project Manager to join our team. The Land Project Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing land development projects within our organization. This position requires strong project management skills, a deep understanding of land development processes, and effective communication with various stakeholders. The Land Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project plans, including scope, timeline, and budget for land development projects from acquisition through
- Navigate the permitting process to secure necessary approvals from local and state regulatory
- Ensure that all project activities comply with zoning regulations, environmental laws, and safety
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets and track expenditures throughout the project
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage resources effectively to keep projects
within budget.
- Maintain open lines of communication to address concerns, provide project updates, and foster positive
- Address any issues that arise during construction swiftly and
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Land Development Manager on project status, challenges, and
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impacts on project delivery
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or a
related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in land development project management or a related role
- Strong understanding of land use regulations, environmental impact assessments, and zoning
- Proven project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficent in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with
CAD or GIS tools is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs and
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, standard daytime hours; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Job Type:
- Full-time position, averaging 40 hours per week
