Summary :
The Capture Manager is responsible for leading the pursuit of qualified business opportunities, developing comprehensive capture strategies, and ensuring successful proposal development in alignment with company objectives. This role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and analytical skills to position the organization competitively in the market.
Key Responsibilities :
- Capture Strategy Development :
- Develop and implement comprehensive capture plans, including win strategies, competitive analysis, and client engagement plans.
- Define and articulate key win themes, discriminators, and value propositions tailored to client needs.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement :
- Establish and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders to influence procurement strategies and gather intelligence.
- Engage with internal teams, partners, and subcontractors to align efforts with the capture strategy.
- Market and Competitive Analysis :
- Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
- Leverage insights to position the organization as the preferred partner for targeted opportunities.
- Teaming and Partnerships :
- Identify and evaluate potential teaming partners, negotiate agreements, and formalize partnerships through NDAs and Teaming Agreements (TAs).
- Proposal Support :
- Collaborate with proposal managers, writers, and solution architects to ensure alignment between capture strategies and proposal content.
- Provide guidance on technical and management approaches to strengthen the proposal's competitive edge.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation :
- Identify potential risks in the capture process and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
- Metrics and Reporting :
- Track and report capture progress, including milestones, risks, and overall status, to leadership.
- Conduct post-submission debriefs to gather lessons learned and improve future capture efforts.
