Red Cliffs Lodge is seeking a Catering Sales Manager to develop and drive local social events, corporate meetings, celebrations, and destination weddings at one of Utah’s most breathtaking venues. This role requires a creative, relationship-focused sales professional who thrives on crafting memorable experiences while exceeding revenue goals for food & beverage, room rentals, and event services.

Essential Responsibilities

New Business Development & Community Engagement

• Proactively source, prospect, and secure social events, weddings, and business functions to maximize catering and venue sales.

• Develop and maintain relationships with wedding coordinators, corporate planners, and community organizations to drive consistent event bookings.

• Identify new business opportunities by networking within the Moab community and beyond, leveraging local partnerships and industry trends.

Sales & Revenue Growth

• Meet and exceed food & beverage and event space revenue targets by attracting high-value social and corporate events.

• Develop tailored event packages, promotions, and seasonal offerings to enhance guest experiences and boost bookings.

• Work closely with the culinary and operations teams to curate personalized menus and exceptional dining experiences for clients.

Event Planning & Client Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from inquiry to execution, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.

• Guide clients through menu selection, décor, venue setup, and event flow, creating a customized experience tailored to their vision.

• Build long-term relationships with past and potential clients to drive repeat business and referrals.

Contracting & Negotiation

• Develop compelling proposals and negotiate contracts to maximize revenue while meeting client expectations.

• Ensure all event details, pricing, and terms are documented accurately to facilitate smooth event execution.

Collaboration & Operational Excellence

• Work closely with the on-site culinary, banquet, and event operations teams to ensure flawless event execution.

• Communicate event expectations clearly and efficiently to ensure the highest level of service and guest satisfaction.

• Partner with marketing to develop promotional campaigns, social media content, and community engagement strategies to showcase Red Cliffs Lodge as a premier event destination.

Qualifications & Skills

• 2 years of catering sales, wedding sales, or event planning experience in a hospitality setting preferred.

• Strong relationship-building and community networking skills.

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding event revenue targets.

• Experience working with wedding planners, corporate clients, and event coordinators to book and execute events.

• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities to manage multiple clients and events simultaneously.

• Highly creative mindset with a passion for crafting unique event experiences.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate event schedules.
