We are looking for a Cybersecurity Sales Engineer who acts as a technical expert and liaison between the sales team, clients, and the technical teams. This role involves presenting, demonstrating, and proposing cybersecurity solutions to address customer needs, ensuring technical feasibility, and supporting the sales process to close deals successfully. The ideal candidate combines deep technical knowledge with strong communication and presentation skills.
Pre-Sales Support :
Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify customer needs and requirements.
Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (PoC) sessions tailored to customer environments.
Respond to technical components of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFIs).
Technical Expertise :
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's cybersecurity products, services, and industry trends.
Assist in the design and architecture of cybersecurity solutions to address customer pain points.
Provide technical guidance on implementation best practices, integration with existing systems, and overall product value.
Customer Engagement :
Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners.
Analyze customer environments to identify security gaps and recommend appropriate solutions.
Support customer onboarding and post-sale technical inquiries, as necessary.
Collaboration & Training :
Partner with Product Management and Engineering teams to provide feedback on customer needs, market trends, and feature requests.
Train and enable the sales team on technical aspects of the company's offerings.
Documentation & Reporting :
Develop and deliver technical sales collateral, including solution designs, proposals, and white papers.
Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, feedback, and technical requirements.
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience :
3 years of experience in cybersecurity, technical sales, or pre-sales engineering roles.
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
Skills :
Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention systems (IDS / IPS), endpoint protection, encryption, and cloud security.
Proficiency in tools and technologies such as SIEM, EDR, VPN, and vulnerability management.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value for non-technical audiences.
Certifications (Preferred) :
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or vendor-specific credentials (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, Palo Alto Networks PCNSE).
Other Requirements :
Ability to travel as required for customer meetings and events.
