As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for performing various inspections of complex components and finished products using a wide range of tools and equipment, such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, gage pins, magnifying lamps, microscopes, and vision inspection systems, to ensure compliance with design specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection of more complex components and/or finished products using a wide variety of tools and equipment such as: Vernier calipers, micrometers, gage pins, magnifying lamp, microscope, vision inspection system, etc. to ensure conformance with design specifications – working at a level of greater independence with a higher level of productivity.
- Perform functional testing of finished products using both automated and manual testing equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications.
- Review, follow and perform job functions in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including recording traceable information.
- Perform verification of manufacturing documents with component and device drawings.
- May control inventory to ensure appropriate storage conditions and movement.
- May train colleagues including inspection of their work output.
- On time arrival to work, regular attendance without excessive absenteeism, and working a full 8 hour or longer work period.
- Understand and reference key quality inspection procedures
- Act as back-up inspector as needed to perform inspection in receiving inspection
- Attend stand-up meetings with key production staff
- Prepare training records and reports to ensure audit compliance
- Other incidental duties (e.g. occasional photo copying, deliveries, General Housekeeping, etc.) as assigned by leadership
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to use applicable tools and equipment, hand eye coordination, and high manual dexterity.
- 2 years of previous related experience required.
- Basic level of understanding of inspection procedures.
- Ability to effectively provide feedback on product defects and may follow through to establish resolution.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to read, comprehend, speak, and write English.
- Basic computer skills required, including working knowledge of manufacturing software, and skills in MS office Suite
- Strict attention to detail
- Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Education/Experience: H.S. Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a regulated field preferred.
- IPC-A-610 / IPC-A-620 Certification preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of company policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to quality systems
- Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to electronics.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision in a fast paced environment
- Work in a Team environment.
- Adhere to all Environmental / Health / Safety rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.
The pay rate is up to $23 per hour.
