JOB DESCRIPTION

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will report to the CFO and will play a key role in supporting decision-making across the enterprise while leading product margin, pricing and mix analysis. This role will partner with all departments across our global organization to evaluate product pricing and operational expenses to enhance profitability. The director will be responsible for driving consensus on unit production, sales and backlog planning and the resulting financial forecast. Additionally, the Director will be responsible for the annual and long-term (5 year) budgeting process and be responsible for the development of the key result measure for the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop key performance metrics and data reporting strategies to provide critical information.
  • Evaluate trends, model future behavior, and forecast to provide insightful analyses to help drive business activities toward achieving financial goals.
  • Responsible for corporate budgeting and forecasting, including monthly forecasts, annual budget, and key performance measures.
  • Prepare and maintain various models behind internal budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare management reports emphasizing operational / financial performance metrics, budgets, forecasts, and forward-looking trends.
  • Analyze budget to actuals with various department heads.
  • Perform financial analyses to support major initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Participate in strategic planning.
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes.
  • Prepares in collaboration with the accounting team, monthly reporting packages that include full financial statements, key performance indicators, key business trends, actual vs budget variances, actual vs forecast variances and comprehensive explanations of key differences for the operations team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or statistics required.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in financial analysis.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing a team in a multi-location, sales and manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop a clear understanding of business needs and incorporate these needs into technical solutions and solving problems of a complex nature.
  • Inquisitive and able to efficiently obtain an understanding of complex tasks and business strategies while satisfying project objectives.
  • Strong time management skills with collaborative style and strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proactively deliver insightful analysis on gross margin.
  • Work closely with executives across the organization.
  • Capacity to develop a clear understanding of the business needs and incorporate these needs into technical solutions.
