Our company, a prominent player in the Manufacturing industry, seeks a dynamic and seasoned Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our company's financial success and growth. The successful candidate will direct all aspects of financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning. They will also be responsible for managing capital expenses, sales reporting, and M&A analysis. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in the Consumer Goods and Manufacturing industry, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready for a new challenge.
The ideal Director of FP&A is someone who has expertise in strategy but is also tactical and can be in the weeds from a day-to-day perspective, as well as leadership. The Director of FP&A must also be very advanced in Excel, as well as financial models. The ideal Director of FP&A has a strong finance but also understanding of accounting to bridge the gap between the CFO and Controller within the organization. This is an important role, as this organization is growing tremendously and looking at succession planning / big picture when hiring. Also, the ideal Director of FP&A has an advanced Finance degree or certificate. This position is on-site in San Clemente.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development of annual and long-term financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the financial health and progress of the company.
- Conduct M&A analysis and provide strategic recommendations to the executive team.
- Oversee the management of capital expenses and ensure alignment with the company's financial goals.
- Prepare and present detailed sales reports to the executive team and stakeholders.
- Develop strategic financial plans to support the company's growth and profitability objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in special projects, providing financial insights and recommendations.
- Implement and maintain financial planning and analysis systems and tools to support effective decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field is required; an MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the Consumer Goods and Manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Demonstrated knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) and their application in financial planning and analysis.
- Experience with M&A analysis and capital expense management.
- Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial audiences.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
