Position: Project Technical Manager (PTM)
Job Description:
The Project Technical Manager (PTM) is responsible for working with Red Dot construction managers and customers to diagnose and rectify technical issues as they occur. This position works closely with all internal departments to convey the problems and solicit advice and direction to resolve the issues in an expedient manner. The PTM serves a vital role in improving quality control efforts within Red Dot by collecting and recording data, identifying trends through objective and subjective analysis, and presenting data in a manner that can be used to improve upon the performance of every department.
Job Requirements:
Education / Experience
· Bachelor's Degree in an applied science related to engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field, or,
· Associate's Degree or Trade School Degree in a program related to design and drafting, engineering, construction management, or related field, along with (2) years of professional experience in related field, or,
· High School Diploma with (4) years-experience in the Pre-engineered Metal Building field with direct involvement in construction, design, detailing, or any other technical role.
Skills
· Ability to read architectural drawings
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) or equivalent
· Proficient with Bluebeam Revu
· Professional written/verbal communication
· Ability to perform root cause analysis
· High attention to detail
· Experience working in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to multi-task
Daily Tasks (include but not limited to)
· Track and maintain Problem Report status
· Read and diagnose Problem Report requests from project construction sites
· Collaborate with engineers, purchasers, construction, and manufacturing departments to find root causes and provide solutions
· Find the fastest and most cost-efficient solution to a reported problem
· Collect data for identifying trends
· Work with the Project Scheduling Managers to provide excellent service to our customers
· Create material shippers for procurement and fabrication of material to get to the jobsite as needed
