Job Description
Red Gate Group is seeking a talented Sr. DevOps Engineer to join our team supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in Reston, VA. As a Sr. DevOps Engineer on our team, you'll play a crucial role in translating customer requirements and future goals into innovative solutions that support a mission-critical defense IT system. Your leadership will be instrumental in transforming the way our defense client leverages technology, from integrating advanced solutions to modernizing legacy systems. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Experience developing custom applications and supporting them in a production environment
- 5 years of experience building and supporting DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
- 3 years of experience with containerization, building images and orchestrating deployments in Kubernetes
- 2 years of experience managing tools deployed with Helm using ArgoCD or Flux and writing custom Helm charts
- 2 years of experience with automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments, including activities around the automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing, such as continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
- Knowledge of container networking, monitoring, and storage solutions
- Knowledge of container security technologies with experience evaluating and mitigating or resolving vulnerability findings
- TS/SCI clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience developing in Java or Python
- Experience with Prometheus/Grafana and/or ElasticSearch/Kibana and FluentD
- Experience with design, deployment, and management of Cloud environments, including AWS or Azure
- Experience with using or migrating continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipeline solutions or tools, including Jenkins, Git, or TeamCity
- Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML
- Experience with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby and leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
- Knowledge of cloud and virtualization-based technologies, including Docker, Azure, AWS, or VMware
- Knowledge of Linux or UNIX administration and automation
- Knowledge of foundational system administration principles
- Knowledge of and experience with classified environment processes and protocols
- Kubernetes certification
