Deli Associate – Gourmet Market

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with deli orders, including cold cuts, salads, and specialty items.
• Slice meats and cheeses using both hand and machine techniques.
• Prepare fresh, high-quality sandwiches and gourmet deli salads.
• Cook and assemble breakfast sandwiches on the griddle efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked deli counter and sales floor.
• Ensure all food items meet Red Horse Market’s quality standards.
• Provide outstanding customer service and respond to inquiries with professionalism.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in deli service, sandwich-making, or a similar food service role.
• Strong knife skills and the ability to prepare meats, cheeses, and deli items efficiently.
• Experience in making gourmet sandwiches and salads with attention to presentation and taste.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-player mentality.
• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and understanding).

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
