REPORTS TO : Programs Director
SUPERVISES : Youth and adult volunteers

WORK LOCATION : In person in Red Lodge, MT at the Nonprofit Shared Services Center
Position Description Overview
The Connected Youth Program Manager position is responsible for connecting youth to the community. The Connected Youth Program Manager will work closely with the Programs Director and the School District to design, implement, and coordinate the Connected Youth portion of the Foundation Strategic Plan.

TEAM Support / Engagement
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS :
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES RELATED TO YOUTH PROGRAMMING :
Organize and participate in the annual youth steering committee. Assess if community needs require more frequent committee or sub-committee activities. Be prepared to collaborate with local partners for project development / implementation.
Plan and host committee meetings every month (with a summer pause if determined by the coalition), or as needed, and create and share meeting minutes. Report progress and discuss ideas and options concerning the Early Childhood programs.
Connect youth to meaningful volunteer opportunities to help them reach their high school graduation requirement.
Plan, promote, and implement babysitting classes as needed and desired within the communities across Carbon County. Set goal of conducting approximately quarterly classes.
Build relationships with school administrators and resilience / mental health content providers. Establish measurable outcomes for existing school-based Youth Resilience programs to support justification of resources and grant requests to expand programming into other interested schools within the county.
Coordination of the free summer lunch program for all youth, birth to 18 years old, by partnering with community organizations and community volunteers at the City Pool. Lunches are prepared M / W / F for approximately 11 weeks.
Refresh, expand, strengthen, and promote the program through the library.
Research, plan, purchase, and prepare items for the packs.
These include the Early Childhood Fund and the Youth Enrichment Fund.
