Case Manager – Behavioral Health Outpatient Setting (Bi-Lingual)
Position Summary Bi-Lingual Case Manager provides case management services to Spanish-speaking children and teens, along with their families, in an outpatient behavioral health setting. This role provides care that is sensitive to the clients' cultural backgrounds by assessing their needs, coordinating services, and advocating for the resources they require. The Case Manager works together with therapists, medical providers, schools, and community agencies to support the mental, emotional, and social well-being of clients.

Salary Range : $20.00-$25.00 hourly
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of an associate’s degree in social work, Psychology, Behavioral Health, or a related field (bachelor’s degree preferred) or three to five years of mental / behavioral health experience, case management, or social services, preferably with children and adolescents.
Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written) required.
Knowledge of Arizona behavioral health regulations, Medicaid services, and community resources.
Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Must provide proof of freedom from infectious tuberculosis before starting employment.
CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (if transportation responsibilities apply).
Job Requirements
Effectively communicate in both English and Spanish with clients, families, and professionals.
Possess a strong understanding of case management principles, trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive services aimed at Spanish-speaking populations.
Exhibit excellent organizational, documentation, and time-management skills to ensure compliance with service requirements.
Capable of assessing client needs and connecting them with appropriate behavioral health services and community resources.
Understand crisis intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques for children and adolescents.
Familiar with Arizona's insurance authorizations, Medicaid services, and coordination of behavioral health services.
Job Duties
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the behavioral health needs of clients and develop tailored service plans.
Coordinate and facilitate treatment planning meetings, ensuring that all services provided are culturally appropriate and aligned with the client's goals.
Serve as a liaison for Spanish-speaking clients, their families, therapists, medical providers, and community resources to ensure effective communication and support.
Ensure Arizona state regulations and Medicaid guidelines complete all documentation and reports.
Monitor client progress and update service plans to reflect changes in their needs.
Advocate for clients by connecting them with essential educational, employment, and social support services.
Provide crisis intervention and safety planning to support distressed clients.
Assist clients with scheduling appointments, coordinating transportation, and removing barriers to access essential services.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
Perform additional duties to support overall operations and client care.
Work Environment
Outpatient behavioral health clinic setting, working with children, adolescents, and their families.
Frequent interaction with Spanish-speaking clients who may have limited access to mental health services.
Exposure to clients experiencing emotional distress, requiring patience, empathy, and crisis intervention skills.
Work may involve occasional home visits, school visits, or community-based meetings.
May require flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, to accommodate client needs.
Requires prolonged standing, sitting, walking, stooping, bending, occasional exposure to inclement weather : heat or cold. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
