As a Senior Project Manager (SPM), you collaborate with a group of individuals with diverse skills to accomplish a common goal: to create materials and programs that meet—or even exceed—Red Nucleus standards and client expectations. Not only do you strive to meet these expectations, but you manage the day-to-day workflow of your project teams as they develop and deliver materials on time and within budget.
You work closely with your Client Service Director (CSD), who has direct management responsibility for the larger team, to coordinate the workload and priorities for roles such as Associate Project Managers (APM), Medical Writers (MW), Instructional Designers (ID), Artists, Developers, Medical Editors (ME) and Editorial Associates (EA). You also work closely with Account Managers (AM) on business development efforts for the accounts you service and have regular contact with clients by phone and email and at virtual and/or live meetings.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities as a SPM are divided into 6 core areas: Business Development, Timeline Development and Management, Client Interaction, Team Management, Tactical Development, and Financial Management. You have the ability to successfully manage projects of larger scope, greater complexity, risk, and/or higher visibility. Not only will these projects help you grow your skills in tactical development and financial management, they will also allow you to deepen and broaden your skills related to business development, client interaction, and support for team members.
- Identify and forecast new business opportunities with existing clients
- Partner with RN Account Managers and team members to develop proposals & pitches end-to-end (solutions, budgets, timeline development, resource allocation, etc.); present project management related content at pitches
- Research and discuss approaches for project execution (complex custom projects, new project types, etc.) and translate into PM tasks and timing
- Participate in client ideation or strategy sessions (eg, curriculum planning)
- Provide strategic support for clients, such as guiding those who have limited training experience and who value or could benefit from your expertise and experience
- Cultivate client relationship beyond immediate project (ie, build rapport, maintain relationship between projects)
- Serve as a positive, driven, critical-thinking leader who motivates team members to achieve excellence
- Mentor Project Managers and other team members as appropriate
- Delivering projects on or under budget, timely and accurate revenue recognition reporting/forecasting, correct and timely client invoicing requests, timely processing of vendor invoices
About You
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience managing and designing blended learning solutions
- At least 5 years of project management experience within a digital agency or professional services organization, medical communications agency preferred
- Experience in or serving clients in a highly regulated environment, specifically pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotech
- Sales training experience a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage sales training projects within budget and scope, as well as to assess and manage client expectations

- Deep understanding of the skills required to create blended learning products including creative/instructional content development, graphic design, programming, media creation, content editing, and quality assurance
- Exceptional teamwork, interpersonal, communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- The ability to manage a project team comprised of diverse personalities and skillsets
- The ability to independently, proactively, and effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks
