Job Summary
Red River Brick, a General Shale brand, is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at our plant in Athens TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our facility. This role requires attention to detail, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to load and unload materials.
- Safely transport materials throughout the facility, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations, verifying accuracy of shipments and inventory.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 pounds) as required.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Previous experience in materials handling is a plus.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.09 per hour
