What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Coordinator position at Red River Youth Academy?
Admissions Coordinator
The primary duty of the Intake Coordinator is to conduct and oversee the admissions process for clients admitted to the Residential Treatment Program with the goal of maintaining a full census. The intake coordinator works closely with all staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient therapeutic milieu. The intake coordinator will insure continuity of the client’s care from intake to their progress in Red River Youth Academy’s Program Milieu and discharge.
Duties include :
Conducting intake face to face clinical assessment appointments such as biopsychosocial, intake process.
- Efficiently work with Intake Assistant to ensure notification of all appropriate parties regarding scheduled admissions.
- Advises families on the intake process and provides them with all necessary information about admission.
- Liaison between therapists, residents, and all staff members to ensure all aspects / requirements of intake and discharge are appropriately completed.
- Responsible for ensuring every effort is made to maintain a full census.
- Must maintain all required logs and documentation regarding intakes.
- Assist with scheduling intake appointments when applicable.
- Assist with therapy session when the facility needs due to census.
- Any other reasonable duties assigned by facility Director or supervisor.
Qualifications :
Education & Experience : Bachelor's Degree in the Social Sciences Field or high school diploma with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar field.
Training and Experience : Must have good recommendations and satisfactory work record from previous employers as well as successful reference check. Have a complete background check for childcare providers from a local police agency.
Knowledge Required : State / Federal regulatory guidelines and requirements.
Special Training Required : Must be trained in Program Milieu and knowledgeable about the program utilized at Red River Youth Academy.
