The Role of the MDS Coordinator - RN
As an MDS Coordinator - RN, you will be responsible for:
1. Completing MDS Assessments
You will ensure the timely and accurate completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) treatment assessment tool to inform care plans.
2. Reviewing Care Plans
You will review care plans to ensure they address physical, cognitive, and socialization factors specific to each patient or resident, meeting our high standards of care.
3. Managing Reimbursement Documents
You will manage the process and tracking of Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents to secure appropriate reimbursement for services provided.
4. Integrating Care Services
You will integrate information from nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehabilitation, and physician services to ensure accurate reimbursement.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must:
1. Be a Registered Nurse (RN)
with current licensure and at least one year of long-term care nursing experience.
