Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Industrial Storage Technician to manage and maintain industrial storage systems, ensuring peak performance and reliability. This role involves coordinating department operations, organizing inventory, and collaborating with departments to support storage needs while maintaining safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily operations, manage storage items and logistics, and optimize storage space and availability.
- Coordinate with operations, sales, and logistics teams for efficient storage and retrieval processes.
- Monitor and ensure the completion of all storage motor maintenance and track progress in the ERP system.
- Perform light maintenance and repairs, report major issues.
- Safely operates forklifts and overhead cranes (up to 60 tons) as needed.
- Participates in customer audits, handles callouts, and ensures customer satisfaction through efficient storeroom management and organization.
- Participates in company safety and quality programs
- Ensure staff safety, adhere to safety protocols, and comply with industry standards.
- Adheres to operational policies, facility security measures, and ensures effective use of warehouse equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in managing industrial storage systems, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Strong technical skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience in rigging and lifting loads up to 60 tons.
- Experience in the operation of overhead cranes with capacity up to 30 tons.
- 1-3 years of experience operating forklifts (warehouse forklift, combination lift, etc.) and warehouse equipment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, inventory management software, and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in industrial storage.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) as needed.
- Prolonged periods of standing and working in various environmental conditions (e.g., hot/cold storage, high shelves).
- Comfortable working in industrial settings with potential exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
