Duties
- Assist the Store Manager in daily operations, including overseeing staff performance and customer service standards.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring products are stocked and displayed appropriately to maximize sales.
- Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently, handling transactions with attention to detail.
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in the hiring process and conducting employee orientation for new hires.
- Utilize retail math skills to analyze sales data and assist in making informed decisions regarding product placement and promotions.
- Negotiate with vendors as needed to secure favorable terms for inventory purchases.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling shifts, maintaining employee records, and generating reports as required.
- Foster a positive work environment by training and mentoring staff, promoting teamwork, and addressing any employee concerns.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred, with a background in an assistant manager role being highly desirable.
- Strong skills in inventory management and retail sales techniques are essential for success in this position.
