Red Wing Golf Course is a premier golf course located in Red Wing, Minnesota. The course is known for its beautiful landscapes and challenging layouts, providing an exceptional golfing experience for players of all levels.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Required to maintain grounds on the property. Including greens, fairways, buildings, irrigation systems, and sand traps.
*Supervise the maintenance and repair of all course maintenance equipment.
*Responsible for hiring, training and supervising staff and crew. Also responsible for coordinating assignments and projects for crew.
*Required to maintain equipment. Fixed and/or repair as needed and order supplies.
*Mows and fertilizes tees, greens, fairways, etc. Water, mow, weed, trim, aerate, renovate and fertilize lawns; plant, water, fertilize and maintain landscaped areas.
*Safely and effectively utilize pesticides, herbicides or other chemicals according to City, County and State regulations.
*Operate equipment such as dump trucks, backhoe, mowers, and power tools such as chain saws, mowers, edger’s and blowers and maintain hand tools.
*Mows and fertilizes tees, greens, fairways, etc. Maintains and repairs irrigation systems.
*Top-dresses greens and tees.
*Change tee markers, cuts cups and performs other daily maintenance requirements.
*Required to maintain & ensure all maintenance is completed on all company equipment (i.e., golf carts, trucks, bobcats, etc).
*Follow and enforce all course policies.
*Assist with ensuring all areas of the golf course are kept clean and remain free from clutter.
*Assists in Communicating with staff regarding new item information, processes and other information related to the operation of the golf course, staffing, staff requirements, tournaments, schedules, training, etc.
*Make sure the golf course is ready and in great shape for daily play.
QUALIFICATIONS:
*High School Diploma or GED required. 2- or 4-Year college degree preferred in Turf Management.
*Must hold a Minnesota pesticide applicators license or be able to obtain within 60 days.
*2 or more years of progressively responsible related experience.
*Knowledge of equipment, materials and supplies used in golf course maintenance; working knowledge of equipment and supplies used for repairs.
*Knowledge of methods, tools and practices required to construct and maintain greens, fairways, trees and shrubs, sand traps and other aspects of a golf course.
*Ability to operate and maintain all necessary equipment.
*Willingness and flexibility to be available to work on all three shifts, weekends and holidays as necessary.
*Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
*Ability to stand/walk up to ten hours per day regularly.
*Ability to work in outdoor conditions year-round.
*Work in a fast-paced environment.
*Valid driver’s license.
*Excellent organizational skills.
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Pay is based on experience, room to grow with pay and bonuses.
