Position Summary:
The Performance Marketing Manager will report to the Vice President of eCommerce & Digital Experience and be focused on driving consumer demand via Media / Merchandising vehicles for Redbarn brands (Redbarn / Pawstruck). This role will work closely with the VP of eCommerce, Amazon, DTC & Marketplace National Account Managers, Lifecycle Manager, Brand Marketers, Creative Leads, Social Media Manager, Business Analysts & DTC Operations Manager to ensure strong growth on advertised & growth eCommerce platforms. Further, they will work closely with external agencies and internal resources to support planning, advertising, merchandising and custom content needs.
This role will be highly collaborative across Redbarn’s business teams including Creative, Brand and Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Design and implement a holistic performance marketing strategy – across paid acquisition, lifecycle marketing, content, SEO, influencer, affiliate and more to drive measurable growth and impact.
- Work directly with Redbarn’s media agencies to execute, manage and optimize all retailer media campaigns ensuring all campaigns meet and exceed expected benchmarks based on objective.
- Works with the VP of eCommerce to define investment models as part of planning and budgeting frameworks.
- Leverage platform data to define and deliver audience-first strategies to accelerate profitable growth.
- Deliver measurable ROI and incremental sales as measured through performance media KPI’s
- Works directly with the National Account Managers, Brand Leads, & Innovation Leads to develop and execute GTM strategies via multi-channel media activation.
- Provides strategic leadership for the trafficking, management, and optimization of advertising campaigns.
- Delivers weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly performance results with strategic advisement.
- Creates full-funnel media strategies based on Brand objectives to drive demand and conversion through digital media and merchandising activation.
- Evaluate competitive activity to create strategies to optimize Redbarn’s media activity based on market behaviors.
- Works directly with the Data Insights Manager to review campaign performance and leverage data from Amazon Marketing Cloud for continuous optimization.
- Identify and codify best practices in creative execution and support of promotional events. Define inputs into campaign and event planning to ensure creative consistency, efficiency and scale.
- Responsible for the communication of campaign performance including the ability to provide insightful feedback on questions related to technology, data, optimization & in-platform quality assurance.
- Aligning Media KPIs and objectives with Sell-In growth and Sell-Out acceleration.
- Lead the advancement of capabilities and understanding of the evolving Retail Media landscape across the organization.
- Develop keywords, lifestyle, segment, and affinity strategies to drive Brand awareness, consideration, and conversion.
- Develop strategies on how to leverage Advertising media platforms to uncover opportunities around process and create best practices for brands to leverage.
- Provide activation strategies and plans that influence shopper behaviors in the marketplace.
- Manage Retailer Media budgets with Agency as well as reconciling invoicing.
- Develop strategies that grow Redbarn’s share of digital share and market share growth
- Lead across functions on best practices in digital marketing, with focus areas such organic, platform social, digital shelf, retail media, creative, owned assets, and digital KPI performance measurement/optimization.
- Provide internal training to NAMs and other internal stakeholders on high-level funnel activations across the digital retail media ecosystem
Requirements
Education & Certifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study or equivalent years of experience
Key Skills
- Expert in programmatic technology, platform, and partner solutions
- Knowledge of media strategies and the role of performance marketing and retail media
- Amazon Media certification
- Excellent verbal, written communications, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills and working Excel knowledge, including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, shortcuts, etc.
- Collaboration mindset/team player
- Detail-oriented with strong attention to project management and follow-through
- Solutions orientated with strong critical thinking abilities and problem-solving skills
- Ability to partner with cross-functional teams across marketing, sales, media, agency and finance
- Previous Agency management experience
Desired Skills & Experience
- 4 years’ experience within the programmatic industry with recent hands-on keys experience with AMS, DSP (OTT, Twitch, Audiences), Walmart Connect, Google, Meta, Platforms: PacVue/Skai
- Minimum of eight (8 ) years of media experience, with a strong track record of business results and organizational leadership. CPG experience as a marketer, publisher/partner or via an agency is required.
- Deep understanding of Amazon & retail media ecosystems and insights tools, including Search and Display
- Knowledge of Google Advertising, Walmart Connect, Chewy, Meta and Social platforms
- Experience working with, and selecting, advertising technology
- Experience working with data media analysis, media mix models, multi-touch attribution models, digital attribution, consumer research, and shopper insights
- Track record of marketing leadership success, identifying and implementing new business opportunities, measuring, and delivering in-market results.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of ecommerce & retail KPIs, inclusive of trade and media
- Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to shape, data-driven media strategies
- Strong creative and conceptual thinking ability to set a vision, identify new opportunities, develop new ways of working, pinpoint solutions to complex problems and overcome obstacles
- Exceptional business communication skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate complex messages to diverse audiences
