We are looking for an IT Support Technician to provide technical support, system maintenance, and troubleshooting for secure communication networks. This role involves working with specialized equipment, assisting users, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, monitor, and maintain secure communication networks and equipment.
- Assist users with troubleshooting, system issues, and training on proper system use.
- Perform on-the-spot diagnostics and implement fixes for system errors.
- Support system upgrades, train staff, and maintain detailed logs.
- Provide 24/7 technical support, including troubleshooting and installing secure network systems and cryptographic equipment.
- Ensure system inventory is accurate and properly maintained.
- Track and manage technical support requests using the Remedy ticketing system.
- Assist with hardware and software procurement, including warranty claims and replacements.
- Act as a backup for the lead system administrator when needed.
- Develop and implement system documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Research and recommend new hardware and software solutions.
- Work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support 24/7 operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in telephone maintenance and troubleshooting.
- DoD 8570 IAT II certification (e.g., Security CE, CCNA-Security, CYSA , GICSP, CND, SSCP).
- At least 1 year of direct experience in a similar role.
- 3 years of total work history in IT support or related fields.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying temperature conditions.
- Must be able to lift and transport equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have or be able to maintain a DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
