Summary

The Preschool is looking for loving, kind, and energetic candidates to join our team. We have a great group of teachers. All Preschool employees are hardworking, flexible, and work together to provide a safe environment for children to grow and develop. We take pride in our work and are committed to the children and families we serve. Infant/Toddler teachers must be willing and able to get down on the floor and play with children. All employees follow all program policies and procedures set forth in the Employee Handbook as well as the rules and regulations of the SC Department of Social Services- Childcare Licensing, the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control and the State Fire Marshal. All teachers must be able to build a positive rapport with children, parents and staff.

At the Preschool we recognize the importance of Early Childhood
Education and the commitment teachers provide to the children and families we
serve. Teachers are paid based upon their education, experience, work ethic and
dependability. The Preschool supports anyone wishing to go back to school for
Early Childhood Education and will assist in applying for scholarships to help
pay for tuition and costs associated with going back to school for ECE.
Committed, dependable teachers are paid well and bonuses are offered throughout
the year.

Duties

Infant/Toddler teachers are responsible for developing and maintaining a cohesive teaching team, managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Be able to plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, physical, cognitive and emotional growth. Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, daily reports, and parent-teacher conferences. Ensure a healthy classroom environment- including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children. Candidates must be able to maintain accurate tracking records, ensure all program policies and state regulations are met, and be able to supervise children at all times. All employees must attend a minimum of 17 hours of required continued education training. (15 hours plus BBP and First Aid/CPR) All employees assist in the general upkeep of the Preschool as necessary and other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

·At least one year experience in a licensed childcare facility.
·Be 18 and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
·Must be able to get on the floor and play with children.
·Must be able to successfully pass a full background check.
·Must be able to lift 35 lbs. and pass a health assessment.
·Have high energy and a strong work ethic.
·Must be a team player and get along well with others.
·Must be flexible, dependable and maintain a positive attitude.

If a candidate successfully completes their 90 day probationary period and shows potential for a long term position they will receive a sign on bonus.

Salary : $16 - $18
