What You Can Expect Working in the Financial Planning & Analyst Intern Position
As a Finance Intern, you will assist the Finance team in enhancing processes and increasing automation of critical activities. Your primary responsibilities will include understanding, reviewing, and contributing to process improvements, as well as defining statements of processes. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to conduct ad hoc analyses, including reviewing and interpreting various data streams. This role offers cross-departmental collaboration, working closely with teams across Finance, Logistics, Manufacturing, Sales, Service, and Transportation. Your contributions will help drive efficiency and productivity by identifying organizational needs and developing creative, scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Supports updates of projection models, revises assumptions and forecasts on a regular schedule.
- Compiles and summarizes data to provide concise findings of information to team members.
- Streamlines reporting processes by assisting with implementing automated reports, enabling efficient access to data for all relevant stakeholders.
- Participates in the monitoring and tracking financial performance by comparing actual results against the planned targets.
- Identifies and pursues opportunities for process improvement and automation within FP&A activities.
- Conducts ad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or aptitude in AI and other automation processes.
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Knowledge or experience with an ERP system such as SAGE.
