WHAT WE DO
The Women & Children program is a voluntary, collaborative program that strives to empower women to build resources and personal skills to break the barriers that come with addiction as individuals, family members, and members of their local community. This program offers residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, day care services for children under 12, individual and group therapy, case management, peer support services, psychiatry and medicated assisted treatment.
At ReDiscover, while every day is different, a typical day may include the following roles and responsibilities:
- Direct supervisory responsibilities including supervision of assigned department staff based upon the needs of the department. This includes ongoing follow-up, coaching and professional development as required. The Team Leader may also be responsible for employee performance management as appropriate.
- Oversight of the Child Development Center's compliance with the Missouri Department of Health, Division of Health Standards and Licensure and the Department of Mental Health, Division of Alcohol Drug Abuse daycare standards and requirements.
- Initial and continued training of all child development teachers in department and for unit philosophy, goals, objectives, behavior management and curriculum training for all adults and children in the center.
- Actively participates in the assigned employees’ lifecycle, including the hiring, on-boarding, training and all other functions to foster and support employee success with ReDiscover. This includes, but is not limited to, training of all child development teachers for unit philosophy, goals, objectives, behavior management and curriculum training for all adults and children in the center.
- Provides a nurturing environment without distractions for the children and interacts with children in a kind, warm manner
- Follows all the direct care guidelines and agency policies
- Responsible for implementing developmental, age-appropriate activities for children in the Child Development Center.
- Provides education and support to children and their parents.
- Maintain cleanliness in the center
- Demonstrate culturally competent respect for all clients, guests and staff through verbal and non-verbal behaviors and assists them as needed.
- Safeguards Protected Health Information (written and electronically) and maintains confidentiality. This may include providing written documentation, scanning and/or uploading records into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. This may also include requesting and/or releasing client information or medical records.
We are focused on your development and will spend time helping you continue to grow as a Child Development Supervisor. However, here are some things that you will need prior to starting with Rediscover:
- Availability to work a full-time schedule (40 hours a week), Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must have an active Missouri Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. (The Child Development Team Leader must maintain certification through the duration of employment in the position.)
- At least two (2) years experience in working with children in a day care setting.
- A minimum of two (2) years supervisory and management experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as GSuite.
