Reports To: Middle School Principal
Summary: Instructs students in one or more subjects by performing essential teaching duties in Spanish, assuring that the mission of the schools is supported. Commits to professional growth within best practices in the dual-language immersion classroom.
The Models a servant’s heart and promotes an attitude of respect, teamwork and professionalism by speaking well of other faculty and staff members; supports entire school system-lower school, middle school, upper school; prays for and with other faculty and staff; encourages others in Godly living and excellence; lovingly holds others accountable; actively pursues ways to encourage members of the schools
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Instructs students by lecturing, demonstrating, and using audiovisual aids and other materials to supplement presentations
Prepares course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements of the school
Assigns lessons and corrects homework, quizzes, tests, projects, etc. in a timely manner
Administers tests to evaluate student progress, records results, and issues reports to inform parents of progress
Keeps attendance records
Maintains discipline in classroom and demonstrates effective classroom management skills.

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university and one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience; or fifth year college or university program certificate or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent of education and experience; valid teaching credential.
Credentials, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
A certified teaching credential is required. A combination of education and experience may be considered by the administration in lieu of a credential, dependent upon the teacher’s department and duties.
Salary : $45,090 - $80,404
