Job Title: Upper School Teacher (2025-26 school year)

Reports To: Upper School Principal
Summary: Instructs students in one or more subjects by performing essential teaching duties, assuring that the mission of the schools is supported. Models a servant’s heart and promotes an attitude of respect, teamwork and professionalism by speaking well of other faculty and staff members; supporting our entire school system-lower school, middle school, upper school; praying for and with other faculty and staff; encouraging others in Godly living and excellence; lovingly holding others accountable; actively pursuing ways to encourage members of the schools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Instructs students by engaging them in the learning process through a wide variety of instructional strategies, including lecturing, demonstrating, and using audiovisual aids and other materials to supplement presentations
Understands different learning styles and incorporates multiple styles in teaching.
Qualifications:
Profess a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
Maintain a positive Christian testimony
Be involved in a local church of like faith and practice, consistent with the RCS Statement of Faith
Agree with and adhere to the employee handbook
Strong communication skills both oral and written
Ability to meet people comfortably and engage in substantive conversation
Must be able to work diligently and independently and make judgments with minimal supervision
Ability to handle financial matters with integrity and with concern for confidentiality
Ability to use technology.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience; or Fifth year college or university program certificate or two to four years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; valid teaching credential.
Credentials, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
A certified teaching credential is required. A combination of education and experience may be considered by the administration in lieu of a credential, depending upon the teacher’s department and duties.
Salary : $45,090 - $80,404
