Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Part-Time Assistant Office Manager with the potential to transition to a full-time role (40 hours per week). This part-time period will serve as a training phase to ensure that the candidate is well-equipped with the skills and knowledge needed for success and aligned with the expectations of the position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Office Manager with daily administrative and operational tasks.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Schedule and coordinate moving services, ensuring all details are efficiently managed.
- Maintain and update customer records and schedules using computer software.
- Create and manage documents, reports, and spreadsheets (Excel proficiency is a plus).
- Facilitate communication between office staff and moving crews.
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing questions and concerns promptly.
- Assist with billing, invoicing, and other basic clerical duties such as paying bills and contacting vendors for pricing.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training is a plus.
- Basic computer skills, especially proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel is preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tasks and software.
- Prior experience in an office or customer service role is preferred.
