Position Summary
The South Regional Sales Manager (Florida) will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to grow RedLine Distribution’s presence in independent (cash and carry wholesale) stores and retail chain accounts throughout Florida. This individual will build new customer relationships, expand existing accounts, and ensure that sales targets are met or exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management and Development
- Call on independent (cash and carry wholesale) stores and chain retailers to build relationships, open new accounts, and expand product distribution.
- Negotiate and close sales deals with key accounts, ensuring profitability and long-term partnerships.
- Monitor account performance, analyze sales data, and recommend growth strategies.
Sales Strategy Execution
- Develop and implement region-specific sales plans, promotional strategies, and pricing policies in alignment with company goals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (marketing, finance, supply chain) to ensure successful product launches, inventory levels, and promotional activities.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing key accounts, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly and effectively, working cross-functionally with relevant departments.
- Identify opportunities to introduce new products, promotions, and merchandising strategies that drive sales growth.
Reporting and Analysis
- Track and analyze regional sales performance, prepare regular forecasts, and report results to senior leadership.
- Provide insights into market trends, competitor movements, and consumer behavior to guide product development and marketing decisions.
- Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
Experience
- 5 years of sales experience in CPG, preferably in tobacco sales.
- Demonstrated success working with cash and carry wholesale stores and retail chains, particularly in the Western region.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Highly detail-oriented, especially regarding pricing and volume details.
- Strong computer skills; experience with sales platforms (preferably Odoo) is a plus.
- Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and other relevant sales management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Self-starter with the flexibility to travel up to 25% of the time across the region.
Competitive compensation package, including base salary, commission, and bonuses. Estimated salary range: $80,000 to $100,000, depending on experience and performance.
