Redpath are delighted to continue their partnership with a recognized, international real estate fund. With assets under management totaling over $100bn, the business has interests in most asset categories which include; Health, Life Sciences, Hotels, Hospitality and Multifamily, commercial office and logistics / industrial.
Having had a presence in the U.S market for ten years, the group have an aggressive growth strategy over the next five years, during which time they will aim to double their AUM from $3bn to $6bn. With a focus on growth markets, the business will identifying acquisition opportunities across residential (MF & SFR) as well as new, emerging asset classes such as data centres, digital infrastructure, e-commerce industrial & logistics, life science, and tech-driven office properties.
Opportunity
This position is based will be based in our client's Los Angeles office and will report to the Senior Director of Investments. The Investment Associate will participate as an integral team member in acquisition, fundraising, and portfolio management initiatives and transactions, with focus on the fund's target sectors.
Responsibilities include but will not be limited to :
- Play an integral role within close-knit investment teams in all aspects of property acquisitions, including liaising with commercial agents and principals to identify potential new investments, developing financial models, sensitivity, and market analysis, and performing due diligence.
- Create and deliver strategy and deal specific presentations to Senior Management, Board of Directors, and Investment and Risk Committees as required.
- Structure deals, assist in negotiating economic terms, participate in negotiating and reviewing deal documents, and assist in procuring debt financing, all requiring and / or developing a broad and deep understanding of investment, financial, financing, partnership, operational, legal, tax, and other considerations and working with external consultants and in-house team.
- Oversee market information database for all asset classes to keep current on industry trends.
- Develop strong networks and relationships with investors / business partners to support the sourcing of deals.
Candidate
3 years of experience in acquisition / investment / development across various property types
