Our client is seeking an IT Support Technician to join their team in the Albany, NY area. This is an excellent temporary opportunity for someone looking to gain IT experience.
Responsibilities of the IT Support Technician will include:
- Unbox IT equipment and break down boxes
- Apply and set up asset tag and host name in basic input/output system
- Complete inventory
- Install software and perform validation tasks
- Operating system and software patches
- Transfer local files from old equipment to new
- Make adjustments as appropriate based on findings during the user validation process
- Deploy equipment to end user
- Maintain appropriate documentation
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications for the IT Support Technician:
- Previous experience with Chromebooks
- Understanding of ticketing systems
- Understanding of MS Office, MS Windows, Chrome OS, Google Workspace, and MAC OS
- Knowledge of projectors, smartboards and interactive flat panels
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $18/hr.
