Summary
GDR Group is currently seeking a highly driven and self-motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to enhance our lead generation capabilities for IT Managed, IT Co-Managed, Staffing, and Professional Services. The ideal candidate should be results-oriented, detail-focused, and possess a strong desire to achieve success. This role requires a creative and client-focused individual who excels in lead generation. Primary responsibilities include prospecting new leads directly (hunting), developing partner relationships for referrals, and identifying organizations, or events that will connect us with potential prospects.
The salary range for this is role is $95,000 - $150,000. *The posted on-target earnings range is comprised of a base salary and commission.
Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential leads through various channels. Leverage existing lead source and develop new opportunities.
- Prospecting: Research and target potential clients within the designated market segments.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain and update systems with accurate and detailed information on leads and prospects.
- Outreach: Conduct outreach activities to engage with potential clients and schedule meetings or demos for the sales team.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospects to understand their needs and position our solutions effectively.
- Collaboration: The BDR shall own the entire sales cycle but leverage leadership throughout, primarily for closing as well as engineering resources.
- Reporting: Track and report on key performance metrics, including lead generation activities, conversion rates, forecasting, and pipeline status.
- Culture and Mission: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of GDR Group’s service offering, value proposition, and partner-first approach. Keep this at the forefront of conversations with prospects.
- Conversion: Meet or exceed annual sales goals.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Minimum of two years of sales, lead generation, or appointment-setting experience
- Preferably in a recurring service model
- Prior experience selling in one of the following industries, is a plus
- Managed IT Services
- Software/Software as a Service
- Other technical fields
- Possess and excellent track record of generating a high volume of opportunities
- Demonstrated level of success in the development of client relationships.
- Proven ability to listen, gather information, and leverage resources to effectively provide solutions to client needs
- Highly professional presentation
- Ability to travel within GDR Group’s geographic targets
- Strong familiarity with unique demographics of local businesses
- Proficient in navigating the various levels staff from front desk to gatekeeper and on to the decision makers
- Thrives in cold / outbound calling or impromptu meeting scenarios
- Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly evolving technology and apply it to business needs
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
- Strong organizational, presentation, follow up and customer-service skills
- Skill in preparing high-quality written communications and materials
- Proficient with general productivity applications
