We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to help lead and manage the tax practice in our office. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing tax projects, including the delivery of high-quality work products and maintaining effective client communication. In this position, there is an opportunity for advancement upon demonstration of abilities and a commitment to the profession and the firm.
The salary range for this role is $115,000 - $150,000 annually.
Key Responsibilities
- Help lead and manage the tax practice, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Review and supervise the preparation of simple to moderate tax returns for individuals, partnerships, s corporations, corporations, exempt organizations, and estates and trust.
- Respond to tax authorities on behalf of clients and assist clients with tax audits.
- Assist with tax planning, research and consulting engagements as needed.
- Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and proactive advice.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic tax planning and consulting services.
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Develop and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support for professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive client solutions.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required, masters in tax a plus.
- CPA required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax and at least 1-2 years as a tax manager.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional project management, analytical, research, and communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with an attention to detail.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in tax software (CCH Axcess Tax preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
