Redwood Credit Union is looking for a Branch Service Manager, who will be responsible for coordinating and administering the day-to-day operations of a small, medium or large branch office. This position will provide support to the Branch Experience Manager's vision and leadership to branch personnel.
Essential Functions
Branch Operations
• Effectively utilizes branch resources to meet Members’ needs by monitoring the flow of traffic in branch.
• Schedule adequate numbers of employees to ensure superior Member service and branch needs are met.
• Maintain the efficient day-to-day operations of the branch by ensuring completion of daily operational tasks.
• Research Members’ inquiries and respond accordingly.
• Conduct branch audits and ensures compliance with Redwood Credit Union policies and procedures.
• Ensure the balancing of all cash and negotiable items in the branch.
• Ensure new or changed products, services, procedures, technology and concepts are implemented and/or incorporated in department functions.
• Perform teller transactions when needed and reconcile cash daily.
• Open new accounts, process loan applications and fund loans as needed.
• Safeguard member information and ensure confidentiality by following established policy and procedures.
Sales and Service
• Provide excellent service to all Members, volunteers, internal employees, and service providers.
• Cross-sell RCU, RCU Investment Services, RCU Insurance Services and RCU Auto Services products and services.
• Recommend and implement goals with branch staff.
• Achieve branch goals and objectives as assigned.
• Maintain an effective sales and service culture in branch by coaching staff.
• Recognize and reward staff for achievements in sales and service goals.
• Support the Branch Experience Manager’s community involvement and business development efforts.
• Conduct regular sales and coaching meetings.
Branch Administration
• Ensure ongoing staff training and development.
• Plan, coordinate, communicate, and execute staff meetings, as needed.
• Ensure important information is communicated to staff.
• Collect and analyze weekly/monthly reports to evaluate strength and weaknesses of branch and individual staff.
• Coach, mentor, discipline, motivate, and develop staff.
• Manage the branch in the absence of the Branch Experience Manager.
• Attend and participate in internal meetings and disseminate pertinent information to staff.
• Recruit, select, and hire qualified staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and recommend merit increases for staff.
Other Functions
• Assist in the development and maintenance of written policies and procedures by providing input to Manual Review.
• Draft correspondence for Member related inquiries.
• Participate in Credit Union committees.
• Perform special projects, research, and analysis as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

- Work environment is indoors, majority of the time is spent standing or sitting at a desk
- Ability to obtain and maintain registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and registry in compliance with the requirements of Federal Law, including the SAFE ACT and NCUA part 761
The ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate degree in business administration, accounting, or closely related field and four years financial services, operations and sales experience including two years as a supervisor.
Compensation: base starting range $83,824.00 to $110,439.00 annually commensurate with experience.
Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity.
