Job Summary:
The Direct Support Professional assists adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives. This includes assisting with complete care of dietary, hygiene, grooming, and dressing needs. Redirects behaviors with various activities including walking, reading, games, math, and computer projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement daily routines for clients based on individual program plans.
- Provide assistance with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Engage clients in various activities to redirect behaviors and promote engagement.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- CPI training.
- Valid in-state driver's license.
- Over 21 years old.
- Current vehicle registration and insurance.
- No more than 2 points on driving record within the last 3 years.
